Last week John Hoich introduced us to new member Michael Wehling.  Michael is the Executive Director of the Stephen Center.  The Stephen Center recently opened a new $10 million dollar facility, including the Pettigrew Emergency Shelter and 52 units of permanent supportive apartments.  In combination with the HERO addiction recovery program, the Stephen Center serves vulnerable individuals and families seeking to overcome homelessness, addiction, and poverty.

Michael has been active in the professional committee serving as the Vice Chair of Balance of State Continuum of Care, the Fremont Family Coalition, several other groups,  and was a member of the Fremont Rotary Club.

Michael holds his Bachelor's Degree from UNL and his Master's in Public Administration from Bellevue University. He is married to Stacy and enjoys skiing and biking in his free time. Welcome, Michael!
