Two weeks ago Angeline Larson introduced us to new member Jason Smith.  Jason  serves as the assistant head of school at Brownell Talbot.  In this role he oversees the curriculum, teaching, learning, and assessment.  Jason moved to Omaha in the summer of 2017. Originally from Tacoma, Washington, Jason and his wife, Jeanne, and two children, Gracie and Kailer, have spent most of their recent years in the Middle East (Doha, Qatar and Dubai) where Jason served as an elementary and middle school principal, and deputy head of school. Jason has served as a school administrator for nearly 15 years. Jason has his BA in Elementary Education, MA in Educational Leadership and earned his superintendent credential from Western Washington University.
Jason is a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church. Jason has served on the board of two churches in Washington State and has recently begun volunteering at Open Door Mission in Omaha.
