Last week Gary Beller and John Binderup served as greeters and Judy Sealer gave our invocation. Nearly 300 Rotarians and guests from as far away as Vermont and Belgium attended the Annual Metro Luncheon hosted by Suburban Rotary. President Nick Jasa presided and introduced guests to Rotary via a couple of videos. Jeff Moran introduced Bill Moos who entertained the crowd with his stories of coming to the University of Nebraska and talked about the future direction of Nebraska Athletics and football. Rotary Book Club

The book is the next two in the series..."The Ultimate Life" and "The Ultimate Journey" also by Jim Stovall.

Events from Other Clubs

Northwest Rotary invites Rotarians, family members and friends to attend a Movie Night for fun, fellowship and raising funds for PolioPlus. Movie Night will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. There will be a potluck dinner from 5:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Fried chicken will be provided and attendees are asked to bring a side dish or dessert. The movie, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017), will start at 6:30 p.m. after dinner. This fellowship event will be held at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center, 202 South 20th Street, in Omaha. There is a suggested $20 free will offering for PolioPlus. We will need reservations for planning. Please email Vickie Backman at nwrotary@cox.net for a reservation. A flyer is attached.
