Meeting re-cap 3/8/18 
Last week Christopher Pfanstiel and Mark Renner served as Greeters. Roxy Orr gave the invocation.  We had several announcements and presentations. Kathryn Schubert presided over a membership panel to discuss the aspects of Rotary membership.   The RISK bag was at $41 and Rex Ekwall won a free lunch.

Volunteers Needed 
North American Youth Exchange Network Conference- Downtown Hilton 
District 5650 is hosting this event in Omaha from 3/14- 3/17 and lots of volunteers are needed.  Click here to sign up to help. 
 
The community service committee will be serving meals to the homeless in downtown Omaha on Wednesdays in March and April. Click here to sign up.

Rotary Book Club
The book for March discussion is "Traveling with Charley" by John Steinbeck.  
Our next meeting is at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, at Wheatfield's on 103rd & Pacific.  All are welcome! 
Rotary Foundation Legacy Dinner 
Rachel Greenhoe, Major Gifts Officer from the Rotary Foundation will be in Omaha on March 9th and 10th to visit with any Suburban Rotarian who has any questions or interest in estate planning options for the Rotary Foundation.  Call 1-847-866-3476 to arrange an appointment.    District 5650 will have a Legacy Dinner on May 17th acknowledging new donations of $10,000 or more in donations, bequests, planned giving in wills or arranging an endowed funds.   
50th Anniversary Book and Party 
Rotarians will be taking pre-orders for the 50th anniversary hardcover book at the back table. Cost is $35 and gets you a discount to the March anniversary party.
