Last week re-cap
Last week John Hoich and Michael Wehling served as Greeters.  Bill Wax gave the invocation.   We had several announcements and presentations.  Dave Laferla introduced Tom Hannam, a former Suburban Rotary Scholarship winner, who told us about his life after winning. He has served in the Peace Corps and traveled around the world, never letting his disability define him.   The RISK bag was at $453 and Dave Laferla won a free lunch.

Last week of annual fundraiser
Just a week left for you to support our annual fundraiser!   Can you make a donation of any amount to help us reach our goal?

We are conducting our annual Suburban Rotary Charitable Foundation fundraiser for the next several weeks. Our goal is 40K.  We ask every Rotarian to make a donation of any size to support all of our great projects.  Donors of $300 or more (pledge or cash) will be recognized as members of the President's Scholarship Circle.     Examples that your donations support are our global grants to Afghanistan and Togo, the homeless foot clinic, meal packaging, donations to veterans, support for Crestridge school and our amazing scholarship program.   YOU make all this possible!   CLICK HERE TO DONATE ONLINE

Thank you to those who have already donated or pledged support this year! (Scholarship Circle members are in bold)

We continue to recognize President's Scholarship Circle Members each week. Thank you!

Elmwood Rotary Golfers
Looking for a fun way to get attendance credit? Consider joining our golfing group.

The Elmwood Rotary Golfers are a group of Suburban Rotarians who meet at Elmwood Park every Tuesday at noon to play golf and enjoy
Fellowship. Jeff Moran is the current coordinator, (which rotates among the golfers.) Golfers are on a list which is emailed weekly to determine
the number of players so that tee times can be made with the Elmwood pro. Last minute walk-ons will not work. All Rotarians are welcome. Notify
Jeff  Moran if you are interested in participating.
At-Risk Youth Career Fair
Youth Career fair, hosted by Suburban Rotary of Omaha.
On June 1st, 2019 from 10am to 2pm we will be hosting a youth career fair for kids in foster care and at-risk kids. Age groups will be 14-20-year-old. We will be inviting employers and organizations in the community to promote jobs for the age group available now and career ideas for the future in various fields of interest. Food will be provided to the attendees.  There is no fee to any employer, etc. who wants to attend.  Contact Kelly Adams for information on how to be involved.
