Last week re-cap
Last week Roxy Orr and Curt Peters served as greeters. Steve Riekes gave our invocation.  We had several announcements as part of the Club Assembly with all committees reporting.   Jared Bakewell presented the Slate of Officers.   Fritz Stehlik moved to accept the slate.  Edna Brooks-Pittman seconded. Motion passed.    The RISK bag was at $140 and Roger Groff  won a free lunch.

Welcome Ethan Meirovitz!
Last week Don Leu introduced us to new member Ethan Meirovitz.  Ethan is a sophomore undergraduate student at UNO and is studying Business Administration. In his albeit limited spare time he is an active member of the Freemasons’ Shiloh Lodge 327, the Omaha Valley of the Scottish Rite, and Tangier Shrine. Ethan has pursued several roles within these organizations including the Scottish Rite Knights of Saint Andrew, which is a service organization made up of new members, and the Tangier Shrine Provost, which provides safety and security at Shrine events.

Ethan is also a Volunteer Crisis Counselor for the Crisis Text Line at 741-741 and enjoys it immensely. Ethan brings a unique perspective to the rotary from that of a full-time student and hopes to be an advocate of the rotary in his various networks. He looks forward to continuing his service to others in Suburban Rotary, enjoys making new connections, and is very excited to be here.
Welcome Eric Bopp!
Last week Terry Kucera introduced us to new member Eric Bopp.  Eric graduated from Valentine High School in 2010.  He attended UNL and the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in Dallas, Texas.  Upon graduation he moved to Falls City, NE and worked at the funeral home for 14 months.

In March of 2017, Eric moved to Omaha and began working at Heafey Hoffman Dworak and Cutler.  He is a licensed Funeral Director in Nebraska and Iowa.  In his free time, Eric enjoys golfing, traveling, and anything to do with the Nebraska Huskers.
Rotary Foundation Recognition
Last week , Kathryn Schwalb recognized Karen Bremer as Judy Sealer as Paul Harris Fellows for their $1000 donations to the Rotary Foundation.   Dan Hosford was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow +2 for his donations of $3000.  Nick Jasa and Jeff Moran were recognized as Paul Harris Fellows +3 for their donations of $4000.
