Last week Paul Adams and Patrick McNamara served as our greeters. Ashely Baker gave our invocation. We had several announcements and presentations. Curt Peters recognized Nate Christ as a Rotary "Gift to the World" for his work as Club Treasurer. Nate accepted oh so "humbly". Curt introduced Judy Cline as she talked as Membership Chair about plans for the future growth of the club. We heard from Holly Hollenbeck, Ed Walsh, Ralph Williams, and Ann Coyne about club service projects and a new mentoring project. The Risk bag was at $404 and Roger Groff won a free lunch.

Thank you to PR Committee Chair Rose Mary Hefley and her committee of Karl Schaphorst, Leah Wurth, Kay Farrell, Leah Richards, Ralph Williams, Monique Devillier, David Jacobs, and Bailey Feekin for putting on a fabulous event.

We had nearly 200 attendees of which about half were Rotarians- 50% from our club and 50% from the other Metro-area clubs. We had 11 out of 12 clubs represented. We plan on growing this event next year. If you'd like to reserve a booth now, please let us know.

Rotary Book Club

The March Book is "The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls.

We have decided to now have the Book Club on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at The Bookworm at 90th & Center.

New members welcome- join us!

Participation counts as an attendance credit, the books are great reads, and it is fun to get together to discuss our various opinions on the books at the meetings!
