Meeting re-cap 6/15
Last week Connor Lund and Gitzy Loder served as our greeters.  Nate Schwalb gave our invocation. We had several announcements and a new member introduction.  C.L. Landen introduced our speaker, Jack Diesing, Jr. who talked about the College World Series.   The RISK bag was at $100 and Jerry Gordman won a free lunch.

Welcome Michelle Schrage!

Last week Christopher Pfanstiel introduced us to new member Michelle Schrage.  Michelle has served as the Marketing Director for large financial advisory firms for the past 14 years, including work with MassMutual, Principal Financial, and Carson Wealth Management. Recently, she stepped out of the financial services industry to continue working as a Marketing Consultant through her company, Difference Maker, LLC. She loves working with business owners to help reinforce their brands, reinvent their brands, and sometimes even create brands from scratch. Michelle is also pursuing a real estate career and will be licensed by August.

She is also the founder of several community organizations, including Business4Business Professional Society, the Nebraska Film Association, and the Regency Business Networking Community. She is on the board of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), where she serves as the Committee Chair for the Young Advisors Taskforce. She also serves on the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce's Engagement Council and spends much of her time planning networking events and volunteering with local non-profits throughout Omaha.

She is the proud mother to her 12-year old son Robert, and they have a Puggle named Lloyd and a cat named Cheddar. Welcome, Michelle!

Adopt a Plot Volunteers Needed
Adopt A Plot Project
Suburban Rotary has taken on an on going project to keep a section of Prospect Hill Cemetery clean and tidy all year long.  Upcoming dates to show up between 10 a.m.-noon, to pick up litter, pick up sticks, sweep, weed whack or rake include the following Saturday's: June 24th, July 8th, July 29th and August 19th. You do not need green thumbs, just a willingness to share two hours of your time.  Contact Ward Peters to sign up for a Saturday that you can plug into your volunteer calendar.
Atlanta!
Around 20 Suburban Rotarians and guests attended the International Convention in Atlanta last week and had a great time meeting Rotarians from around the world and hearing from speakers such as Bill Gates.  Please see our Facebook page for more photos.
