No Meeting- See you at the District Conference and Kevin's After Hours on Thursday Night

There are wine fellowship events after the conference on Saturday.
After the District Conference, we want you to continue with your friends “any way you want it”
The Rotarian Wine Appreciation Fellowship - Omaha Chapter has organized some different options for you to be able to end your experience at Rotary District Conference. Sign up for one of these events: there are different prices, locations, and experiences.  Each event will be hosted by one or more of the RWAF members to help keep the conversation lively, but you pay your own costs.  Additional locations may be added as locations fill up. Some events have a minimum number or may be cancelled.

Last week Jeff Bakewell and Jared Bakewell served as our Greeters.  Taylor  Breen  gave the invocation.  We had several announcements and presentations. Angeline Larson introduced our newly arrived exchange students and our outbound students came to visit one last time before they leave.  Curt Peters recognized the exchange student committee as "Gifts to the World" with Rotary hats. He also recognized John Ryan for all his years of donating Presidential jackets.   Jeff Moran introduced Congressman Brad Ashford who talked about issues affecting Nebraska in Congress.  The risk bag was at $188 and Ann Coyne won a free lunch.

A huge THANK YOU to all those who participated in this year's Brush Up Nebraska. We had many Rotarians participate throughout the week scraping, priming, and weed-eating. The house was painted in record time this year thanks to all our volunteers including a crew from Gerst Painting-thanks Mike! A special thank you to Dave Kerber who headed up this project for us and spent many hours out there last week.

For the next 4 weeks members of the Military Affairs Committee will be sitting at the back table selling Savings Sidekick coupon books.  They are $20 and proceeds will benefit projects for area service people. In the past the MA committee has supported a Winter Wonderland event for families of deployed troops, a camp for children of soldiers with special needs, a holiday dinner for soldiers, etc.   You can also donate books to area military families by making a donation to the MA committee. Donations of $100 or more can be to the Suburban Rotary Charitable Foundation for tax purposes.
