Last week Judy Sealer gave the invocation. Service Opportunities

Want to enjoy the great outdoors and enjoy being above ground?  Then come to the next Adopt A Plot yard waste clean up at Prospect Hill Cemetery, 3202 Parker Street, where our club has made a commitment to return every three weeks to tidy up a visible section of the oldest cemetery in Omaha.  Our next time to get 'er done is Saturday, August 17th at 9:00 a.m.  We rake, sweep, weed whack, pick up sticks and litter and make the grounds look respectable.   Cookies and blisters galore!  Future Saturday Adopt A Plot clean up days include:  9/14.  Contact Ward Peters and join in on the fun!

Rotarians will be helping grill, serve food, and clean-up at the Children's Home Neighborhood Celebration on Friday August 9th, from 3:30-6 pm.   Sign up at the weekly meeting or CLICK HERE to sign up.

After Hours
Mark your calendar for our next After Hours event hosted by Michael McCormick/AOI.     Wednesday, August 21st 4:30-7.

AOI provides solutions for the built environment through construction, modular systems, furniture and architectural products.  We are a leader in designs and technologies that improve the human experience wherever people work, learn, heal and live.  Our Learning Center features multiple applications of these solutions in a working office environment.  Drinks and light eats will be provided at the event, along with maybe a cornhole game or two.  Bring a friend or family member for a fun evening!

Baxter Kenworthy Volleyball Tournament
It's that time again!
We are excited to announce the 8th Annual Baxter Kenworthy Charitable Volleyball Tournament will be held on Saturday, August 10th, 2019 at Spikers Sports and Spirits.  100% of the proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Suburban Rotary Club's Charitable Foundation to provide post graduate scholarships for high school seniors with special needs. We started 8 years ago with just 10 teams and we are now up to an average of 26 teams.   We have raised almost $60,000 for this amazing charity.  We can't be more excited to be able to offer these individuals a chance to live a full, productive life doing what they are passionate about.  Please CLICK HERE  to see the flyer/registration form.  We look forward to another year of fun in the sun, but most of all the opportunity to surpass our donations from last year!

We need VOLUNTEERS and PLAYERS.  Please contact Jennifer to participate.

Register for the Metro Luncheon!
The Metro luncheon will be Thursday, August 15th at Anthony's.  It will feature Tom Osborne.  You must have reservations to attend and seats are limited to 300. Make a reservation for you and your guests at a Thursday meeting or by CLICKING HERE.  *Please note this online registration is for Suburban Rotarians and their guests only.  Members of other clubs should register with their home clubs.
