Last week Danny Dunbar served as our greeter. Howard Epstein gave the invocation. We had several announcements and presentations. Roxy Orr recognized returning member Bob Kment as the "Light up Rotary" member of the day. Secretary Nick Jasa introduced Sarah Kalhorn-Wisecup as the "Rotarian of the Day". Scott Keep introduced Omaha Chamber President David Brown who talked about the "We Don't Coast" marketing campaign. The risk bag was at $201 and Alan Stanek won a free lunch.
Last week we honored Roger Groff as the Suburban Rotarian of the Year. Roger was selected by the 4-Way Test Committee as representing all aspects of the test in his life. Roger has been a very active Rotarian in working with the club to help military members and their families. As a veteran, he understands the need for this support. Congratulations Roger!
Congratulations to Rich Craig- 5 years, David Gerard- 34 years, Monique Devillier- 1 year, and Frank Goldberg-35 years who were recognized by Rich Rowland for perfect attendance last week!
Please be sure to log in and check out the new attendance module on the website. The upgraded system now allows for make-ups to be entered and "banked" until they are needed. Make-ups will now be entered more frequently and you should have a more accurate picture of your attendance and where you need make-ups when you look online.
Please note that the new attendance software uses the Rotary International rule requiring that make-ups must occur no further away than two weeks before or two weeks after a missed meeting. So a make-up on June 3rd is only good for a missed meeting until June 17th.
With online make-ups, credit for committee meetings, various events, and a club meeting every weekday in the Metro area, getting a make-up should be easy. If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer.
