Last week re-cap
Last week Eric (the Mayhem Man) Dawson served as Greeter. Hannah Wright  gave the invocation.  We had several announcements.  Nick Jasa filled in as Secretary. Kathryn Schubert led several trick-or- treaters to various "houses" to learn more about the Rotary Foundation and all the good works done by Rotarians.  This was followed by a costume contest.   The RISK bag was at $15 and Jared Bakewell won a free lunch.  Be sure to see more Halloween photos on our Facebook page.

Welcome Bryant Morrisson!
Last week John Hoich introduced us to new member Bryant Morrison. Bryant is the Owner of SD Fusion LLC and owns Sonic Drive-Ins in South Dakota and recently purchased the majority of Sonics in Omaha.   Bryant grew up in Oklahoma and attended OSU.    While in college he started working in a restaurant which began his career.

In 1994 Bryant started his career with Sonic Drive Ins and has moved across the country with the organization.   Bryant is a former Rotarian (and President-Elect) of the Pueblo West Colorado Club.

Bryant has been married to Amy for almost 30 years and they have 4 adult children and are expecting their first grandchild in February.   In his free time, Bryant enjoys being outdoors for fishing, hunting, and attempting to golf. He also enjoys reading.  He has been on the Young Life National Organization committee for 20 years and his faith is central to his life.  He and and his wife are looking for a permanent home in Omaha but enjoy the time they can spend on their farm in South Dakota taking care of their 25 chickens.

Welcome, Bryant!

Blue Badge
Congratulations to Carol Ebdon who received her permanent badge from Yearlings Chair, Connor Lund, last week.

November is Rotary Foundation Month!
Our goal is for 100% of our members to make a donation to the Rotary Foundation this year. The easiest way is to go to the rotary website at myrotary.org and create an account to give online.  A $100 donation makes you a 19-20 Sustaining Member. Cumulative donations of $1000 make you a Paul Harris Fellow.

The Rotary Foundation money we give comes back to us in the form of District and Global grants allowing to us to support local projects like the homeless foot clinic, meal packaging for local food pantries as well as international projects such as the girls' school in Afghanistan and the hospital in Togo.

You can also bring a check made out to the Rotary Foundation to the meeting on Thursday and Jennifer will send it in for you. All first-time donors making a $100 donation will have it matched by the club.

Keep the Kids Warm 11/14

Save the date! Mark your calendars for Thursday, November 14th from 5-7pm at Lindley Clothing for our Annual "Keep the Kids Warm Event". In addition to food, fellowship, and drinks, we will be collecting donations of cash and new and gently used coats for the students at Crestridge Magnet School.

Thank you to Nate Schwalb and Zach Ziler for helping to organize a private tour of the Samuel Bak exhibit at UNO.
