Last week re-cap
Last week Mike Fosdick and Al Batschalet served as greeters and Kevin Welsh gave our invocation.  Mark Roberts hosted our new member mingle table.  We had several announcements as well as a new member introduction.   Jack Heidel introduced Doris Moore who talked to us about the non-profit Center for Holistic Development which helps people get mental health care.    The RISK bag was at $101 and Karen Bremer won a free lunch.

Welcome Jonathan Meeter!
Last week Josh Berry introduced us to new member Jonathan Meeter.

Jonathan moved to Omaha in 2008 with his wife Erin.  He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising from the University of South Dakota.

He has worked as a banker for eight years, currently as the Retail Branch Manager of American National Bank at  90th & Dodge.  In 2017 he was given the officer role of Assistant Vice President.  In his free time he enjoys Golfing, Camping, and spending time with friends and family.

Welcome, Jonathan!

Suburban Rotary Engagement Award
Suburban Rotary Engagement Award

The Suburban Rotary Engagement Award is a new award for the 2018-2019 Rotary year that recognizes club members who meet a set of criteria across a spectrum of club activities which denotes their excellent engagement in the club. They fulfill the "rule of two" in the following five categories: 1) Community Service, Committee Meetings, Donations, Guests, and Miscellaneous. Learn more by accessing the about and club member status pages with the links below.

Suburban Rotary prides itself as one of the most engaged clubs. Please direct general questions regarding this program to the Participation Committee and any questions about Club Member Status to our Executive Director.
Volunteers needed!
Volunteers are needed for highway clean-up on October 6th and Monster Mash staffing on October 13th. Sign up online or at a meeting.

If you are still interested in the hotel/motel training to fight human trafficking, there is another session on October 27th in Lincoln. Please contact Jennifer in the office for more information.

18-19 Membership Contest
The 18-19 Membership Contest will consist of special activities and speakers the first Thursday of each month to encourage Rotarians to bring prospective members to check us out.

When you bring a prospective member to attend a meeting, you will receive a ticket for a drawing to be held in June. When your guest becomes a member, you will receive 10 tickets. At the end of the Rotary year, all tickets will go into a drawing and one member will win free dues for 19-20  and another member will win 1/2 price dues.

Who can you invite that would love Rotary?  The service, the friends, the fun! So many reasons to be a part of Suburban Rotary!
