Mark Weber

"The Rotary Foundation"

Mark Weber is a principal at Silverstone Group where he heads up the Wealth Transfer Department. He is a graduate of Creighton Undergraduate and Law Schools, has earned a Master of Science in Financial Services and holds several industry designations.

In conjunction with The Omaha Community Foundation, he started the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy Study Group Program. This summer he published his book, The Legacy Spectrum.

As a former member of Suburban Rotary for nearly 25 years, we could think of no better person to help kick off Rotary Foundation Month

Meeting re-cap 10/26/17

Last week Roger Utman and Roxy Orr served as our Greeters. Connor Lund gave the invocation. We had several announcements. Ed Walsh introduced Ann Hindery from the Non-Profit Association of the Midlands who talked about the responsibilities of non-profit Board members. The RISK bag was at $428 and Mary Bernier's guest won a free lunch.

Permanent badges

Congratulations to Andy Goranson, Andrew Wesley, and Michael Wehling who completed all of their Yearlings requirements and received their permanent badges from Yearlings Chair Dan Lupardus last week.

Monster Mash-thank you!

Thanks to all those who helped with Monster Mash this weekend and all the corporate sponsors. Last week Monster Mash Committee Chair (or Chicken) reported that the event raised 39,315 to fight childhood obesity or "nearly 40,000 baawwks!" Good job all!

Rotary Book Club

The next book selection was made by Russ Kaplan, and the title for November's discussion is "Hillbilly Elegy" by J. D. Vance.

We will be meeting on November 14 at 5:30 p.m. at Wheatfields on 103rd and Pacific.
