Meeting re-cap 4/7
Last week Holly Hollenbeck and Cindy Kinsler served as our greeters.  Ken Jansen gave our invocation.  We had several announcements and presentations and two new member introductions.   Nick Jasa filled in as Secretary for Kevin Welsh.  Nick and President Curt Peters presented Nate Christ with a large certificate for his donations to our local Foundation since he keeps "losing" the smaller ones.    Ward Peters introduced Chris Stratman who talked to the club about his experiences as a Rotary Goodwill Ambassador to Spain and about his current position leading Keep Omaha Beautiful.  The RISK bag was at $547 and Steve Riekes won a free lunch.

Welcome Andy Goranson!
Last week Nate Christ introduced us to new member Andy Goranson.   Andy is the President of U.S. Merchant Processing Services.  He directs the growth and enhancement of retail, restaurant, and card not present merchants.  His company is the new merchant services provider for Suburban Rotary.

Andy holds a B.S. in International Business and a minor in Mandarin Chinese from UNL.  He is an Eagle Scout and held several leadership positions as a member of Phi Gamma Delta in college.    Andy is married to Abby and they have two young sons as well as a Burmese Mountain dog.

In his free time, Andy enjoys golfing, cooking, reading, and a good cigar.  Welcome, Andy!

Welcome Andrew Wesely!
Last week John Hoich introduced us to new member Andrew Wesely.   Andrew is with Ayars and Ayars and runs all their Omaha business development and operations.

Andrew holds a degree in Economics, Finance, and Political Science from UNL.   He has lived around the country working for Kiewit and relocated to Omaha in November.

Andrew is active in the community and is involved in various organizations including the Omaha Jaycees, Omaha Young Professionals, Habitat for Humanity, and the Omaha Venture Group.

In his free time, Andrew enjoys playing golf.  Welcome, Andrew!
Congratulations and Thank You!
to Frank McGree, Mark Stokes, and Curt Peters who were recognized as Patrons of Suburban Rotary for their donations of $5000 to our local Suburban Rotary Charitable Foundation.  The local Foundation supports our scholarship program and many other projects of the club including the Rebuilding Omaha project we are doing this weekend.

Suburban Rotary Charitable Foundation Fundraiser
We are in the middle of our annual  fundraiser which supports all of our club's activities including our fabulous Scholarship Program. Our goal for this drive is $40,000.  So far with donations last week, we are at $24,470 or at 61% of our goal.  Our hope is that all club members will support this drive with a donation of any amount.

Thank you to those who have already donated this year.   Scholarship Circle Members (donation or pledge of $300) are indicated in bold.
