Last week re-cap
Last week Rotarians, students, and guests enjoyed the 42nd Annual Scholarship Luncheon. We were inspired by these young people who have overcome so much to follow their dreams. Congratulations to all! Thank you to the Scholarship and Fundraising Committees who make it possible.
Just a couple of weeks left!
For you to support our annual fundraiser!   Can you make a donation in any amount?
We are conducting our annual Suburban Rotary Charitable Foundation fundraiser for the next several weeks. Our goal is 40K.  We ask every Rotarian to make a donation of any size to support all of our great projects.  Donors of $300 or more (pledge or cash) will be recognized as members of the President's Scholarship Circle.     Examples that your donations support are our global grants to Afghanistan and Togo, the homeless foot clinic, meal packaging, donations to veterans, support for Crestridge school and our amazing scholarship program.   YOU make all this possible!   CLICK HERE TO DONATE ONLINE
Thank you to those who have already donated or pledged support this year! (Scholarship Circle members are in bold)
Lunch at Crestridge
Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 10th. Instead of our regular Rotary luncheon we will be having a special meeting at Crestridge school, our Adopt-A-School partner.  Cost is $10 for a boxed lunch and we will have a program for the students. We will take reservations at the April 25th and May 3rd meetings.
Tickets to the Car Show Museum
We are just a few weeks away from our first ever Rotary Car Show. Encourage folks you know to sign up to show their cars.   The car show admission is free but entrance to the Certified Car Museum (ages 12 and up only) is $10 per person.  All proceeds from this event will go to polio eradication and support Rotary programs.  Invite friends and family to come with you to this awesome event and check out Peter Fink's amazing collection.   Tickets will be sold at Rotary starting this week.
Elmwood Rotary Golfers
Looking for a fun way to get attendance credit? Consider joining our golfing group.
The Elmwood Rotary Golfers are a group of Suburban Rotarians who meet at Elmwood Park every Tuesday at noon to play golf and enjoy
Fellowship. Jeff Moran is the current coordinator, (which rotates among the golfers.) Golfers are on a list which is emailed weekly to determine
the number of players so that tee times can be made with the Elmwood pro. Last minute walk-ons will not work. All Rotarians are welcome. Notify
Jeff  Moran if you are interested in participating.
