Meeting re-cap 2/8/18
Last week Nick Eastland and Tom Kerfoot served as Greeters. Katie Henry gave the invocation.  We had several announcements and presentations.     Paul Adams introduced Jason and Michelle Hurt from Chariots 4 Hope and they shared their inspiring story of helping single parents get transportation and transform their lives.   The RISK bag was at $691 and Dick Miller won a free lunch.

Check in wait times
Please note that we are upgrading our credit card machine to run transactions "live".  This will put us in compliance with our processor but increase the amount of time to run a transaction.  Consider skipping the weekly line for the machine by purchasing a lunch or meeting only punch-card.  You can get a 10 lunch card for $160 or a 13 meeting only card for $104. We will have them available at the check-in desk.
Congratulations and thank you!
to Dick and Janey Miller who were recognized as Benefactors to the Rotary Foundation.

Here's what Dick had to say about their support of the Rotary Foundation, “Janey and I have observed and have been a part of many Rotary community service projects during our 50 years plus involvement with many different Rotary Clubs across the country, but have only been observers in Rotary’s worldwide projects. As such, we felt it was time we took part in providing assistance in places where our feet will never travel , and to people we will never meet. “

Rotary Foundation Legacy Dinner
Rachel Greenhoe, Major Gifts Officer from the Rotary Foundation will be in Omaha on March 9th and 10th to visit with any Suburban Rotarian who has any questions or interest in estate planning options for the Rotary Foundation.  Call 1-847-866-3476 to arrange an appointment.    District 5650 will have a Legacy Dinner on May 17th acknowledging new donations of $10,000 or more in donations, bequests, planned giving in wills or arranging an endowed funds.
Quack, Quack
Does your team have a duck on the track for the "Great Suburban Duck Race"?  Only a little over 4 months to "waddle" across the finish line and claim the title!   Red is in the lead so far.  Last week Lisa Neu recognized Holly Hollenbeck and Mike Fosdick with rubber duckies for bringing in new members. Thanks for growing the club!

After Hours
Thanks to Bill Prout and Big John's Billiards for a fun after hours last Thursday.  Rotarians socialized, ate, drank, and played a little pool.
Come to this Thursday's meeting to hear about the tournament champions. See our Facebook page for more photos.
