Last week our Yearling of the Year, Theresa Kelly gave the invocation. It made a impression on all of us. Think about who you can invite to Rotary and give the gift of service, friendship, and fun.
Theresa's invocation:
Thinking back to when you joined Rotary:
Who were you when you joined?
Why did you join Rotary?
RI Vision Statement: "Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change - across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves."
Think now about today:
Who have you become as a result of joining Rotary?
How has your "why" developed - what does Rotary mean to you?
In one and a half years I have seen RI's vision statement come true on all levels it mentions. Most personally, joining Rotary has given me confidence that I am worthy of a seat at the proverbial table.
I love what Rotary stands for and I love who we as Rotarians are. I want to share that love and I hope this reflection stirred some of that love in you as well.
