Yearlings were asked this week what their favorite thing to do on St. Patrick's Day. Answers ranged from eating corn beef and cabbage to visiting local bars and having green beer.
Angela Chaney reminded the club that on March 26, after the meeting, volunteers will be assembling folders for books as a community service activity.
Duane Gross, a member of the Scholarship Committee, reminded the group they need to sign up for the Scholarship Luncheon on April 16 as soon as possible.
Tom Vann introduced our speaker David Radler who he met on a golf course, have traveled to Ukraine together and enjoy being Rotarians together.
David Radler, our speaker, was given a camera when he was 13 from his dad and he fell in love with photography. He went to an art high school in Los Angeles and received a scholarship to Rochester Institute of Technology. He traveled the world with his photography doing fashion shows in Europe and working in New York. His presentation focused on the photography he did for the Institute of Holocaust Education here in the Midwest. At the time 34 Holocaust survivors lived in Omaha and Lincoln. His approach was black and white, simple, direct, and calm. He also shared photos from Cuba, a farm auction and more.
