Amy Morris grew up on a farm west of Wilber, Nebraska (Czech Capital USA), and attended Wilber Clatonia High School. She went onto college as a first-generation family member and graduated with a Bachelors in Science in Education from the University of Nebraska Lincoln.
Amy has spent twenty five years in the healthcare industry, mainly in diabetes and is currently serving in the role of Principal Territory Manager, Midwest Regional Trainer and Sales Advisory Board Member at Ascensia Diabetes Care providing an implantable continuous glucose monitor to patients with diabetes.
Amy has three children. Emma, 21, a junior at UNL majoring in Biology and Spanish getting ready to take her MCATs in June for medical school; Fletcher, 19, a freshman at Kansas University, majoring in Finance and Ruby, 16, a sophomore at Elkhorn South High School active in club and high school volleyball as a middle blocker/hitter and track where she is a high jumper. She also has 3 cats: Lucky, Luna and Lou.
Amy has been a 20-year member of Order of the Eastern Star, Crete Chapter #104 transitioning to the Elkhorn Luna Chapter #169. She has volunteered as a five-year Scout Leader for Girl Scouts USA, JDRF International, American Diabetes Association and most recently Activity Assistant Life Care Services of Elkhorn. Amy enjoys cooking, volunteering, exercising, gardening, concerts and fostering animals.
