In getting to know our Yearlings better, they were asked what they liked about snow days. Answers ranged from sleeping in, sleeping in and making money as a kid for shoveling snow.

Speaker Eric Ewing talked about the history of Black History month in February. He also talked about famous and influential blacks from Omaha including politicians, savvy business leaders, entertainment and sports personalities and more. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Great Plains Black History Museum. He encouraged members to "experience" the museum as well as black food, music and other activities. The Museum is open Wednesday-Saturday from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. and is located at 221 24th St.
