Crista Eggers is the statewide campaign coordinator for Nebraskans for Medical Marijuana. She became involved in medical cannabis advocacy on behalf of her young son, who suffers from epileptic seizures.
Nebraska remains one of the few states with no legal access to cannabis. For over 5 years, she has been working on bringing safe access to medical cannabis for suffering Nebraskans. Her passion comes from the pain in watching her youngest child deal with uncontrolled seizures, and knowing that this plant may possibly give him a better future. As she pursues the ballot in 2024, she once again must raise the funds to collect signatures. She has vowed to her son and to the hundreds of thousands of people waiting in their state, that she will not walk away until they win this fight.
