Last week re-cap
Last week Larry McNichols and Hannah Wright served as greeters.  Dave Nelson gave our invocation. Roxy Orr hosted our new member table.  We had several announcements and presentations including John Marburger presenting top awards in the District and Presidential Citation to the club from last year.  Jack Heidel introduced Don Bacon who talked about his accomplishments in Washington and took questions from the audience.  The RISK bag was at $178 and Mark Taylor won a free lunch.

November is Rotary Foundation Month!
Consider making your annual donation to the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.  This money comes back to us in three years in the form of Global and District grants to spend on our projects.   Your donation goes around the world to promote literacy, fight disease, and encourage peace.   Every Rotarian Every Year asks that you consider a gift of at least $100 to the Rotary Foundation.

If you have never given, Suburban Rotary will match your first $100 to the Foundation giving you $200 toward your Paul Harris Fellowship (cumulative giving of $1000).

The easiest way to give is myrotary.org (you will need to set up an account). Your member # appears on the front of your Rotarian magazine or you can ask Jennifer.

You can also bring a check made out to the Rotary Foundation to Thursday's meeting and Jennifer will send it in to you (or have a form for you to fill out with your credit card number).

After Hours
Join us for Kids Warm at Lindley Clothing on November 29th from 5-7.  Featuring food, fun, friends all for a good cause.   We will be taking donations of gently used or new kids coats and cash donations to purchase warm clothing for Crestridge students. Join us and bring a friend!

Tree Planting
Thanks to Rotarians from the Environmental Committee who helped the city plant trees last weekend!

Salvation Army Bell Ringing
This year we are ringing the bells from 10am to 8pm at the 156th and Maple HyVee.  Dates are November 17th and December 8th. Go to the website suburbanrotary.org then the calendar and select the date to login and sign up for a time. Sign ups will also be at the meeting on Thursday.
