Anne Carroll, Suburban Rotary's Golden Wheel Awardee

 

In a recent ceremony at the district conference, the Rotary District 56560 paid tribute to Anne Carroll, presenting her with the esteemed Golden Wheel Award. With an impressive dedication spanning 34 years, Anne has been an integral part of Habitat for Humanity, initially leading international home-building teams and now offering invaluable support in the day-to-day operations of the Habitat office. Her commitment is further demonstrated through the establishment and meticulous upkeep of a comprehensive Habitat archive and her coordination of essential food deliveries for the dedicated volunteers at the work sites.
 

Beyond her contributions to Habitat, Anne plays a pivotal role at Crossroads Connection Prison Ministry, where her efforts extend to organizing sponsors and actively participating in parole hearings. Notably, her unwavering commitment is exemplified through her personal sponsorship of an inmate for over a decade, demonstrating genuine compassion and support.
